Blocco is a modular architectural system that combines high-density concrete with embedded cast glass cylinders. The design utilizes solid glass sections derived from the production of the Palo Santo Burner, repurposing the excess cylindrical glass cast during the burner's manufacturing process. Cast directly into each concrete module, the glass cylinders extend slightly beyond the surface, acting as light channels that capture, refract, and transmit light through the wall. This construction creates a solid, privacy-providing partition that allows natural light to filter through, making it a functional solution for space-dividing walls, decorative architectural panels, and interior screen systems.
